Franck Boissiere Franck Boissiere has been working for the European Commission for nine years. He is leading the Next Generation Networks activities in the IST programme His research interest are the next generation internet protocols, optical networking, and experimental test-beds. During the last five years he was steering the development of European Union activities to support broadband internet infrastructure for researchers through the QUANTUM ( and GEANT ( projects. Before that he was the area coordinator for distributed multi site application for the HPCN domain. Previous to joining the European Commission he was working as a team leader in the research departments of France Telecom. He graduated from the French Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Telecommunications. He is a member of the IEEE, ACM and ISOC. He is a member of the INET2001 technology program committee for the infrastructure track.
