Franck Boissiere Franck Boissiere has been working for the European Commission for nine years. He is leading the Next Generation Networks http://www.cordis.lu/ist/ka4/ipcn/ activities in the IST programme http://www.cordis.lu/ist/. His research interest are the next generation internet protocols, optical networking, and experimental test-beds. During the last five years he was steering the development of European Union activities to support broadband internet infrastructure for researchers through the QUANTUM (http://www.dante.net/quantum/) and GEANT (http://www.dante.net/geant/) projects. Before that he was the area coordinator for distributed multi site application for the HPCN domain. Previous to joining the European Commission he was working as a team leader in the research departments of France Telecom. He graduated from the French Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Telecommunications. He is a member of the IEEE, ACM and ISOC. He is a member of the INET2001 technology program committee for the infrastructure track.
